anne's sister

similar to the smaller 'anne', this vintage chenille fabric in beige, and moss has been subtly quilted with gold. a swag of olive satin passementarie encircles the purse. what appears to be a brocade at top is actually all embroidery and appliqué (which took 5 hours alone to produce)! see the detail. this is topped with gold braids and brass filigrees that ornament the handles which are of tan ultrasuede.

richmond 9-7858

this purse takes its name from the telephone number on the card holding the quirky vintage rick-rack which i bought decades ago. so it has to be from the 50's... or earlier! the heavy striped fabric in tans, browns and blues, has a lovely sheen and is topped with a beautiful brocade. the handles are tan ultrasuede. see a detail.

glenda

named for a favorite aunt, this purse's colors remind me of her fun, bright spirit. a heavy twill with a slight sheen in turquoise, lime green, and pale yellow stripes has been embroidered with lines of rectangles, and then topped by a gold satin brocade. the cord handles are anchored with a brass ornament echoing the linear quality of the crisp fabric. see a detail.
